Time to Grow in God’s Plans
As we recognize the need for repentance to be forgiven for harboring roots of bitterness toward our parents and others who have controlled us with anger or unkind words, we realize that the habits, practices, and gestures used—and still used—to judge others must be crucified.
God wants us to enjoy a life free from resentment or hidden anger toward those we are called to love, respect, and care for deeply. We cannot love others freely while holding grudges, nor can we trust anyone when we constantly look at them through suspicious and analytical eyes.
The truth sets the captive free from falling into false relationships that lead to pain and defeat.
Do you harbor anger toward your father or mother? Notice the tone of your voice when you are upset or angry with them and see if the root of offense is still there.
How beautiful it is to be free from bitterness and angry habits that cause the flower to wither before its appointed time.
